Николай Иванович Бантыш (1938-2012), военнослужащий, проживает в городе Витебске. Беларусь. Шахматной композицией увлёкся в школьные годы. Опубликовал более 140 задач разных жанров, получил около 30 отличий. Призёр 7-го личного первенства Беларуси по разделу трёхходовых и многоходовых задач и финалист 6-го командного первенства мира. Напечатал ряд статей по вопросам композиции.

Nikolai  Bantysh (1938-2012), a serviceman, lives in the city of Vitebsk. Belarus. The chess composition was carried away in the school years.
