Расставить на указанных полях белого и черного королей, 7 черных и 1 белую пешку, 5 белых ферзей, чтобы получилась легальная позиция.

Решение.
Только если белая пешка на b7 или g7, белый король мог попасть на 8-ю горизонталь.
Черный король мог быть только на h8, иначе он под нелегальным шахом от белого ферзя.
Если белая пешка на g7, то ретроузел из семи черных пешек, чКрh8, бКрf8 и пяти белых ферзей на полях с a8 до e8 не развязывается.
Следовательно, белая пешка на b7. Последний ход – a6(c6)xb7. Всего, с учетом превращения в ферзей на b8, белые пешки били 7 раз, чСf8 взят на своем начальном поле, следовательно, черный баланс закрыт. Позиция легальна.
Solution.
The white king could get to the 8th rank only of the white pawn is on b7 or g7.
The black king can only be on h8, or else he is in illegal check from a white queen.
If the white pawn is on g7, then the retrocage consisting of seven black pawns, bKh8, wKf8 and five white queens on a8 – e8 cannot be released.
Therefore, the white pawn is on b7. The last move was a6(c6)xb7. With consideration for the promotions on b8 to queens, the white pawns a to e must have captured 7 times; the bBf8 was captured on its home square; the black balance is closed. The position is legal.
